what the judges said…
So appealing. Buttery. Fruity, with mild ‘booze’. Yummy! Hot and cold they smelt delicious.
Beautiful. Even pastry. Even fill. No boil-over. Love the Christmas trees on top. Perfect little pie!
They are utterly moreish and delicious both hot and cold and they leave a lovely, lingering aftertaste.
Please note that no butter was used in the recipe!
The judges thoroughly enjoyed this pudding and one in particular, who isn’t a massive fan of Christmas puddings, loved it. Nice and light in texture but with plenty of oomph with flavour and inclusions!
It is packed with fruit, nuts, and lovely pudding. Every mouthful is interesting with a good contrast of textures. Very good mouthfeel with every bite being more and more interesting.
Rich, dark and moist looking. A lovely looking pudding; appears to be packed with fruit.
A wonderful flavour, full of delicious fruit and nutty goodness with a lovely balance of Christmassy spices. A wonderful pud!
